In order to protect your child and other children and staff, please do not send a sick or infected child to Preschool. If you are in doubt, phone your doctor or the Preschool Director for advice, The Director may exercise her discretion and request an unwell child be sent home.
The Director and staff maintain the right to isolate and remove from the Centre any child who is sick or appears to be suffering from an infectious disease, which is likely to:
- be transmitted to any other child or staff member.
- result in the staff compromising the care and supervision of the other children whilst nursing the sick child.
We ask for your understanding and co-operation in this area to ensure that no child, especially yours, is exposed unnecessarily to these infections.
If your child becomes unwell whilst at the Centre, we will contact your to arrange for him/her to be collected from the Centre. If we are unable to contact you, we will ring the emergency contact you indicated on your enrolment form. Failing that, if necessary, we will arrange to take your child to either his/her own medical practitioner or the hospital.
