Philosophy

The environment we provide for children is supportive, caring and consistent, fostering their security and sense of trust. It aims to enhance their sense of competence and self-esteem and encourage their developing independence and self-help.

The Centre displays an active acceptance of the fact that Australia is a multicultural society where different ethnic groups co-exist harmoniously.

Equal opportunities are provided for all children to develop to their full potential.

We use a positive approach to guidance, consistently adhering to a positive guidance policy that encourages correct behaviour through positive reinforcement. Guidance must always encourage the individuality and confidence of children and never lower their self-esteem.

Children with additional needs will be accepted in the Centre. The staff will treat each child as an individual and will support his/her own additional needs.

Staff and parents form a team, supporting each other in the care and development of the child. Mutual respect and open communication are essential to ensure positive outcomes for each child.
