Playing and creating is messy work! Old play clothes are a must for preschool. Sandals can be worn but PLEASE NO THONGS as they are dangerous for climbing activities and running. Warm clothing is also necessary in winter. Please send a spare set of clothes every day. Children toilet training may need several spare sets of clothes. Hats are also a must no matter what the weather. The sun can be harsh to young skin. Even if it looks like rain, still include a hat. There may just be a chance in the weather during the day and a chance for a run in the sunshine!
A sun hat must be worn at all times during outdoor play. If a child does not bring a sun hat to school they will be given a spare hat to wear and washed at the end of the day.
We require parents to apply sunscreen on their child upon arrival at the Centre. We teach the children to apply sunscreen to their face and arms prior to playing outside, however, as they do only these areas (and may "miss a post or two") please make it part of your morning routine to sunscreen your child.
Sunscreen is available in each room for parents to apply to their child. Permission to apply sunscreen is on the enrolment form, and is asked for again when children attend Vacation Care.
